Earthquake Detection Device

  

  This is a simple project where we will learn about an easy and efficient way to Detect the the presence of earthquakes

 For this project we will need following materials. 

•  A heavy weight pendulum .

•  A warning led 

•  A conducting ring wide enough to pass in the conducting wire

•  A power on -off  switch.

•  Cable lugs .

•  Pillars  to  stand in the  whole  setup.

•  6 or 12 V Battery or  Supply

•  A buzzer and a board to hold the setup.

Earthquakes can occur on by various reasons like shifting of techtonic plates , Volcanic eruption or man made explosions etc ....

But all these cause have a common effect that is Shaking of earth or earth quake.

And we are going to use this Shaking feature to build our project .

1st. Attach The heavy weight pendulum to. the conducting wire .

2nd . Now pass this conducting wire through  the conducting loop and hang  the entire setup.

3rd. Use the cable lugs to hang in the wires .

4th.  And make up the setup as below video.

 

 Now if the project experiences a turbulence the conducting wire touches the

       conducting  loop  and hence completes the circuit. ringing the buzzer 

 and lighting the warning light
